Located on the outskirts of a small town in Alabama, this State Park becomes a place like no other. Frank Jackson State Park, a publicly owned 2,050 recreational area that is among Lake Frank Jackson. Provides fishing, swimming (but beware of Alligators and Snakes-so swim at your own risk), boating, hiking, and our favorite....camping!
With 32 RV campsites that provide full hook-up (Water, Electric, & Sewer), CAMPERS Dream come true! They also have Wi-Fi but it was spotty for us. We even had connection for the cable.
The staff and as well as the people within the community were friendly and polite. The State Park is just a few minutes from the town of Opp. The Laundry facility at the State Park was out of order but the Laundry-Mat wasn't far and it was nice.
Another high rating for this place, not far from Florida and the beaches. We were 2 hours from Pensacola Beach, and we had a great time.
If you get the chance to visit, I highly recommend Frank Jackson State Park. Make your reservation at https://www.alapark.com/parks/frank-jackson-state-park
